DIY Gift Wrap Station

DIY Gift Wrap Station

Because we love to make beautiful gifts, we are always tempted to buy new and interesting patterned paper, different colored ribbons and other similar items. The result is a big stack of supplies that needs to be organized somehow. An interesting and practical way to do it is by transforming a kitchen stool into a gift wrapping organizer. All that you need is one used, simple stool, a few meters of white cotton fabric, 4 casters, a paint spray- white (your materials are colored enough!)- and few meters ribbon. Clean your stool before makeover, then spray paint it and let it dry. Measure the side surface between two of the legs, and cut out 12 pieces of fabric, according to the measurements. Sew them 2 by 2, leaving just the upper part opened. To make them look like bags, unfold the bottom, keeping the seam in the center, then, fold the 2 corners and sew on the line that they create. Remove the sewed corners and prepare the ribbons. Cut 2 pieces ribbon, about 24 inches long, fold them in half and attach them on the sides, folded part inside. Take one bag and turn it wrong side out, then, insert the right side out bag with the attached ribbons. Sew them together leaving the upper part free. When done, turn it inside-out, and, you have your finished bag! Apply the same procedure for the remaining bags making them same size or smaller. Attach the 4 casters on the seat of the stool and place the stool on the ground. Attach the bags and start to fill them with the wrapping supplies!
